BEEP! BEEP! THE LIBRARY'S HERE

Welcome to Library-loving blog challenge 2010!

Jennifer Hubbard

writerjenn is hosting another bloggers library-loving challenge so that enthusiastic library lovers (like me!) can raise funds to benefit libraries or book related charities by collecting comments. The process is simple: leave a comment on my blog, an “I love libraries!” or “You go, girl!” will do and if I receive 100 hundred comments (one per commenter, please) by March 31^st, I will donate $100 to a traveling library. Visit Jenn's blog and link to all the other bloggers taking up the challenge. The more blogs you visit and leave comments on, the more money will be raised during this challenge.

You may remember from last year angeladegroot.livejournal.com/20118.html, that I have a special place in my heart for traveling libraries. Book mobiles provide books, newspapers, audio and other resources to individuals unable to get to the library under their own steam or who live in areas not serviced by a local library.

So please, with no cost at all to you other than a moment of your time, help me raise money for an excellent cause. Those of you without LiveJournal accounts may post a comment by selecting the “anonymous” radio button and thereby skip the registering for a livejournal account process. If you do comment anonymously, leave your name in the comment (so that I know who you are) or if you’re the fun loving, slightly evil kind, you could leave me a cryptic clue to your identity. Let’s have fun and gather the green stuff for a really good cause.

Commenting to say that I once crashed into a library van! Thinking on it, may have wanted to donate my LLBC funds to them, poor things (It was a local council one and was speeding!)

We lost our Bookmobile due to funding cuts. Libraries need the support this challenge is giving. Maybe we'll inspire more such support.
